About Me!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Natalie Richards and I am a 4th year Psychology major and Applied Developmental Psychology Minor here at UCLA. As you can probably tell from my choice in minors, I am extremely fascinated by child development and I absolutely love working with children. I currently volunteer at the Infant Development Program in Franz Hall and it is absolutely amazing to track the progress of these young children and witness their unparalleled determination, capability, and independence. I am hoping to pursue clinical psychology in the future; more specifically working with children with anxiety disorders.
Ventura, CA
I am from Ventura, CA which is a beautiful beach town about an hour north of UCLA. When home, I work as a summer camp counselor at the YMCA. I also am a huge fan of stand up paddle boarding and kayaking, and I spend a lot of time out on the water when at home.

Me; Stand Up Paddle Boarding
I chose to take this class because it something very different from all the classes I have taken at UCLA thus far, and I was hoping to complete my last quarter by trying to get more insight into a new discipline. I do not have a huge art background, but I have constantly seen the interaction of art and science throughout my compulsory schooling (although less so in college) and I do think its a very fascinating topic. I want to learn more about these two disciplines and how the two can inform each other in everyday life. I think this will be a very interesting course and exciting course and I look forward to getting to read all of your posts!

Natalie R.
